Announcing Shakespeare in Paradise 2014!

Shakespeare in Paradise is pleased to announce the productions in its 6th Annual Theatre Festival Oct 3-11 2014:

  • William Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”
    • Directed by Philip A. Burrows
    • Featuring Matthew Deveaux & Angelique White (aka Angelique Sabrina)
    • Dundas Main Stage – Four Public Performances – October 3rd, 4th, 10th & 11th
    • Eight Student Matinees – September 29th thru October 2nd & October 6th thru October 9th
  • “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When The Rainbow Is Enuf” (Rated C)
    • Written by Ntozake Shange & Directed by Nicolette Bethel
      • (Back by popular demand with all of the original cast members)
    • Dundas Black Box Theatre
    • Four Public Performances – October 3rd thru October 6th

  • “Sizwe Banzi is Dead” 
    • Written by Athol Fugard & Directed by Philip A. Burrows
    • Featuring Dion Johnson & Mark Humes
    • Dundas Black Box Theatre
    • Four Public Performances – October 8th thru October 11th

Limited Seating Available – Only 320 seats will be available for the entire run of this production

  • “Bruce Katooska: Laughter is the Best Magic!”
    • A magic show designed specifically for elementary school children
    • Ten Primary School Performances – October 5th thru October 10th
  • Primary schools interested in having the magician visit may book through the Shakespeare in Paradise Box Office

We are also working on another production which will be announced as soon as the logistics have been finalized. This production will take place on the opening and closing nights of the festival, October 3rd and October 11th.
